Rental Terms and Conditions

1. Driver Requirements

• Drivers must be between 21 and 75 years old.
• A valid driving license held for at least 2 years is required.
• International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required for non-EU citizens.

2. Young & Senior Driver Fee

• Drivers aged 21–24 and 70–75 are subject to an extra charge of €70 per rental.
• This fee is mandatory and non-refundable.

3. Rental Duration

• Minimum rental period is 2 days (48 hours).
• A delay of more than 1 hour beyond the agreed return time will be charged as an additional rental day.

4. Fuel Policy

The renter may choose between the following options:

• Option 1 – Same-to-Same: The vehicle is delivered with a specific fuel level and must be returned with the same level. Missing fuel will be charged at market price plus a refueling fee.
• Option 2 – Full-to-Empty (Prepaid Fuel): The vehicle is delivered with a full tank, and the renter may return it empty. The fuel is prepaid at the start of the rental and no refunds are given for unused fuel. The charge is based on current fuel prices and the vehicle’s tank capacity.

5. Insurance Coverage

All vehicles are covered by Full Insurance with zero excess. Full Insurance includes protection in case of accident, theft, or fire. However, Full Insurance does not cover damage or loss in the following situations:

• Damage to fixed/mobile parts (e.g. keys, wipers, fuel caps, aerials, jacks, triangles, wheel covers).
• Damage to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic parts (e.g. engine, gearbox, clutch, brakes, fuel tank, gearshift, vehicle underside or interior).
• Driving off-road, on unpaved or unauthorized roads, paths, or terrain (e.g. beaches, mountains, dirt roads).
• Driving by someone not listed on the rental agreement.
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Fraud, vandalism, criminal activity, or negligence.
• Using the wrong fuel, or improper use of handbrake, clutch, or gearshift.
• Traffic violations, fines, or accidents resulting from illegal activity.
• Theft due to lost or mishandled keys.
• Theft of vehicle parts or personal items from inside the vehicle.
• Loss or water damage to car keys.
• Damage while trying to retrieve keys locked inside the vehicle.
• Returning the car outside business hours via key box without agreement.
• Damage from natural disasters, terrorism, or vandalism.
• Damage to tires, wheels, windshield, and glass (unless otherwise stated).
• Damage from a third party who refuses liability.
• Damage in public or private parking areas.
• Damage caused by animals.

The renter will be held fully responsible in all the above cases, even with Full Insurance.

6. Mileage

Unlimited mileage is included unless stated otherwise in writing.

7. Traffic Violations

The renter is fully responsible for any fines, tolls, or penalties during the rental. An administration fee of €30 per incident applies in addition to the cost of the fine.

8. Use of the Vehicle

The vehicle must not be used:

• For racing, towing, or commercial purposes.
• Off-road, including dirt roads, mountain tracks, beaches, etc.
• By unauthorized drivers.

Off-road use is strictly prohibited. If the vehicle is driven off-road, an extra charge of €250 applies, regardless of insurance. All vehicles are equipped with a GPS tracking system, which alerts us in real time of any misuse, including off-road use or violation of these terms.

9. Cross-border and Island Travel

• Leaving the island of Crete is strictly prohibited.
• Vehicles may not be taken to mainland Greece or other islands by ferry.
• Cross-border travel outside Greece is not permitted without written authorization.

10. Breakdowns and Accidents

In case of breakdown or accident:

• Contact the rental company immediately.
• Notify the police if required.
• Do not admit fault at the scene.

11. Cancellation Policy

• If cancellation is made more than 4 days before the rental start date:
  • If only a 20% deposit was paid, it is non-refundable.
  • If the full amount was paid, 20% will be withheld.
• If cancellation is made 4 days or less before the start date: No refund will be issued.

12. Payment

• A valid credit or debit card is required.
• Cash payments are also accepted.
• The renter agrees to pay all extra charges (e.g. fuel, damage, fines, delays, towing, cleaning, etc.).
• Administration fee for processing fines is €30 per incident.

13. Company Rights

• The rental company reserves the right to refuse rental to any customer not meeting the conditions.
• To cancel the agreement in case of misuse.
• To charge for excessive wear, damage, or contract violation.

14. Vehicle Condition, Cleanliness, and Restrictions

The renter is responsible for maintaining the interior of the vehicle clean. Smoking and transporting pets inside the car is strictly prohibited. In case of smoking or animal transport, a biological deep cleaning fee of €150 will be charged.
